Gargoyle

Another ancient drawing that I managed to finish after many years staring at it on my ever growing collection of unfinished works. XD
(but I love this little gargoyle. )

A Gargoyle is a silent predator. Though smaller and not as sturdy as other wyverns, this creature still posses a respectable strenght and its prey often realizes its presence only when it's too late. Made for gliding, its wings are wide but frail, yet they can be used to crawl and climb rather swiftly. Very cunning and patient, they can stay still watching a prey for hours with their unblinking eyes. Their horns and spikes grow as they get older and may ocasionally break, which combined to their behavior can deceive distracted travelers into mistaking them for old statues.
